It's our 10th birthday!

1 April 2024 marked 10 years of Achieving for Children delivering services to support children, young people and families to lead safe, happy and fulfilled lives. Happy birthday AfC!

AfC was set up on 1 April 2014 to deliver services on behalf of Kingston and Richmond councils. Windsor & Maidenhead joined AfC in August 2017 as a third partner. AfC was seen as a pioneering new model when it was set up, as it was the first children's services ‘spin out’ to be set up from a point of strength and as a community interest company.

Over the last 10 years much has changed and much has been achieved. All of the achievements are a credit to all the immensely talented and dedicated children's services professionals, both past and present, who have worked day in day out, to support children and young people living in Kingston, Richmond and Windsor & Maidenhead.
